   a) I am sure that in the future we will live better, than now. I am an optimist and sure that in quick future there will not be hunger and wars on Earth, people will live long and happily,I hope that it is more than just hopes.

 b) I`m an optimistic person and this is a main reason why I think that life will be much better. Also technical and social progress is a great support of development of quality of life.

2. What will houses in the future be like? Listen to David speaking?

  a) Small;

  b) heating will be cheaper, because houses will be small and take solar heating;

  c) things like very advanced television, videos, perhaps videos which take up, the screen takes up the whole wall. Doors which open automatically when you drive up, perhaps electronic sensor which will recognize you when you come to the front door even;

  d) people will think of putting gardens on the roof;

  e) walls will be more flexible and it will be possible to do rooms more and less.

3. Which of David’s views do you agree or disagree with? Give your reasons.

I agree with David and think that houses will differ widely from modern. They will be more comfortable for life and simple in the use.

Для начала Дом Будущего будет построен в помещении. Маленькие группы домов будут размещены под гигантскими стеклянными куполами и окружены пышными деревьями и кустами. Тропические птицы, возможно, перелетают через крыши в постоянной, управляемой компьютером, теплоте.

Дом самостоятельно станет любого стиля и размера, которого вы вообразите. Будучи в помещении, будет нужно только очень маленькое количество энергии для нагревания. Много энергии будет от солнечных панелей на куполе  – круглой крыше.

Забудьте  ключи парадной двери. Ваша дверь будет открыта, как только услышит голос, который она распознаёт. Ваш дворецкий пространственного возраста — максимально функциональный домашний компьютер - будет наблюдают за безопасностью. Этот рассудительный электронный служащий будет управлять всем, от температуры, влажности и освещения  до устройств, которые ухаживают за домом, работ по уборке. Он оплачивает чеки и заказывает еду, убеждается , что ее доставлено к Вашей двери .Он запишет ваши праздники, закажет библиотечные книги, даже поможет Вам с кроссвордом!

У Вас вечеринка? Сделайте гостиную больше перемещая стены. После того, как гости уйдут ,сделайте ее маленькой снова. Нажмите на кнопку и стены будут двигаться назад или вперёд.

Вы сможете посмотреть во что Ваши гости одеты еще перед тем, как они прибудут позвонив им по видео-телефону  в зале. И мытье? Просто разместите это в интегрированной прачечной, пока будет готово к носке, благодаря новой ткани, за которой легко ухаживать. Что, нет электрических гнезд? Вместо этого каждая комната будет иметь «электрическую стену», на которую вы сможете приложить электрические бытовые приборы

Хороший старомодный пылесос так же забудут  – воздух будет фильтроваться а затем будет пахнуть вашими любимыми парфюмами.

Будет много места в комнате для веселья! Дверь свободной комнаты будет входом в мир, который полон бесконечного приключения. Когда вам скучно, симуляторы обеспечат любое впечатление , от гребля на каноэ до прыжков с парашютом и лыжного спорта. Сад будет в чердаке. Крыши будут сделаны из стекла. Благодаря этому цветочные границы, кусты  и газоны будут хорошо расти в том бесполезном пространстве, которое мы обычно используем для мусора.

Нравиться нам это или не нравится, а такие дома будущего всё равно будут появляться.

The idea of such House of the Future  very pleased me. It very well and comfortably.But it seems to me, that living in such house is not so comfortable .I would like that my house was far more comfortable and cosily!

1. Rebecca Lee is gone to attend a conference on « House Design in the year 2500 ». Read the letter she received from the letter conference organizers and find answers to the following questions.

Speaking

1.

 People will have identical physical abilities.  Fingers and hands will be beautiful because there will be no heavy work. Women will give birth to children absolutely without serious consequences. It will not be necessary to learn. To children in defined age will sew flash cards with the necessary information and with the future trade. People become weaker and sensitive.

  I think people will be same outwardly, but change some physical qualities. The clothes and a fashion remain same all will constantly vary, as the proverb ells "All new this well forgotten old".

  I think that transport will be same to change only that it will not pollute environment. The information will be saved up and be transferred in a new kind. There will be new kinds of dialogue and transfer of thoughts. People will invent more many everything, but whether there will be it they in the blessing?   У вітальні  голос годинника співав,  тік-так,  сьома година, час вставати,час  вставати,сьома година! Неначе вони  боялись,що нікого не буде. Дім  лежав пустий. Годинник тікав  , повторював і повторював ці  пісні у порожнечу. Сім-дев’ять, час сніданку, сім-дев’ять!

  У кухні  сніданок, пічь шипляче зітхнула  і виштовхнула з себе вісім  шматочків прекрасних коричневих  тостів, вісім яєць сонячним краєм  у верх, шіснядцять шматочків  бекону, дві кави і дві холодні  склянки молока.

  «Сьогодні  4 серпня 2026 – сказав другий голос під стелею кухні – у місті Алеандаль, Каліфорнія». Це повторювання дати тричі для покращення пам’яті. « Сьогодні у пані Фізерстоун день народження. Сьогодні річьниця весілля Тайліта. Страховка є такою, що підлягає оплаті, якщо рахуноки за воду, газ або світло.»

I think that the house has been left owners for a long time or even for ever. Things which remained faithfully waited for the owners. Recollected dates and events. Two subjects and someone under a ceiling among themselves communicated hours. The history end very sad, went a rain and all callous subjects worried that them have left. Also there was already nothing to wait, but garage doors nevertheless hoped that someone will return. 

4. In groups, write a draft of the story. Check your use of verb forms, time conjunction and prepositions.

 5. Write groups a neat version of your story and then read it out to the most interesting story.

   Every person has his own idea of a perfect house. Since the time immemorial people always wanted to make their dwelling a place, where one feels comfortable and cozy, where one always wants to come back to. And when we are leave our home it misses for us. Now, let me tell you about my house. When you come to me, you push a big wooden front door, wiping your feet on the door-mat, and enter the hall. The floor is covered with a fitted carpet; the wallpaper is light and has a small pattern. There’s a seat and a small table near the wall and a huge mirror above it. Then you enter the living-room. The bright full-length curtains are drawn back, and sunshine fills the room. The living-room suite, consisting of a sideboard, a bookcase, a sofa, an elegant coffee table and three armchairs, is arranged around three walls. There’s a video system near the window. On the ground floor there’s also a kitchen and a bathroom. The kitchen is a very large room with a big window. There is a gas cooker with a hood, two wall-cupboards and a sink unit there. All this will be awful lonely when I leave or move, remember every event. And I think that I don't leave my home and my things.
