Sometimes I wonder if life is just meant to be

If we have not a choice in the matter, or we really are free

I walked down the street on one fine day

And i saw a guy who glanced my way

We exchanged a look and a smile

That had filled me with excitement for a long, long while

Wherever I went, I saw this attractive guy

followed by his smile and a wave goodbye

Some time had passed without a sight of he

which, i must admit, dissapointed me

Life went on as always, until a tragedy appeared

I sat in the waiting room, my eyes filled with tears

I didn’t even have a soul to comfort me

Until the stranger, my friend, came to set me free

Sometimes I feel like the Gods are playing chess

They put the pieces where they want, so suit our lives best.
