The USA
The United States of America was founded on July 4th 1776, when thirteen English colonies decided that they could not belong to the British Crown. Since that time the United States of America has increased its power and the original thirteen states have grown to fifty.
Now the USA is a federation of 50 states which was established by the Constitution in 1787. Each state has its own government and its own capital. The federal government is headed by the President and the Congress consisting of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Washington is the capital of USA. It is situated on the Potomac River in the District of Columbia.
The climate of the USA is various: from tropical heat to arctic cold. The country is rich in mineral resources. It is a highly-developed industrial country. The United States of America is a country of roads and cars.
